Corporate governance of the Housing Authority of the County of DeKalb is by a 5 person Board of Commissioners. Commissioners serve staggered five-year terms and are appointed by the Chairman of the DeKalb County Board. The Authority's Board of Commissioners has a Chair and a Vice-Chair, elected by the Commissioners at the Board's Annual Meeting each year. All five of the Commissioners are residents of DeKalb County; at least one of the Commissioners is a resident in one of the Housing Authority's facilities or a participant in our Housing Choice Voucher program. The Board of Commissioners generally meets the third Tuesday of each month at 2:30 p.m. at the Authority's central office, 310 North 6th Street, DeKalb. These meetings are open to the public in accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act. The table below presents
a list of 2011-2012 meetings of the
Board and sets forth a tentative schedule for
upcoming meetings of the Board for CY 2012. Some regular monthly
meetings may be rescheduled to alternate
dates or times or locations other than the central office. Special meetings
of the Authority's Board may be called from
time to time. When the dates,
times and locations of meetings are made firm, each meeting date will
be reflected in the table below and linked (at least 48 hours
in advance) to
a meeting
agenda to serve notice of each meeting's scope. By clicking on the date
